Private. Peaceful & Personalised

When you're stressed, your body produces a hormone called cortisol, which can lead to a number of negative effects like muscle tension, headaches, and fatigue. Massages can help to reduce the levels of cortisol in your body and promote the production of feel-good hormones like serotonin and dopamine.

This can lead to a reduction in muscle tension, an improvement in mood, and an overall sense of relaxation. Additionally, massages can also improve blood flow and circulation, which can help to oxygenate the body's tissues, resulting in an improvement of energy and overall sense of well-being.

FAQs

  • When considering the best massage treatment for you, you may want to think of the following things

    • Your health condition: If you have any specific health conditions, such as back pain, muscle tension, or stress, certain types of massages may be more beneficial. For example, a deep tissue massage or remedial massage may be better for someone with chronic back pain, while a relaxation massage may be more appropriate for someone dealing with stress and tension.

    • Your personal preferences: Consider what you're looking to get out of the massage. Do you want to relax, relieve pain or improve your flexibility? Deep tissue massages may not be for everyone, and that is ok! You can always start yourself off with a 60 minute massage or 90 minute massage to see what feels best for you.

    • Other services offered: Some spas or massage facilities (and Social Remedy Byron Bay is one of them) may offer additional services, such as saunas and steam rooms. If you're looking to relax and rejuvenate, it may be beneficial to find a facility that offers these additional services.
